Grant Wood - American Painter best known for his paintings depicting the rural American Midwest, most especially the iconic painting American Gothic.
Frederic Remington - an American Painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer who specialized in depictions of the Old American West.
Henri Matisse - French artist, known for his use of color and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. He was a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but is known primarily as a painter.
Georgia O'Keeffe - one of America's most important modern artists. O’Keeffe carved out a significant place for women painters in an area of the American art community that had been exclusive to and dominated by men.
Edgar Degas - a French artist famous for his work in painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing. He is regarded as one of the founders of Impressionism although he rejected the term, and preferred to be called a realist.
Katsushika Hokusai - a Japanese artist, painter and printmaker. Hokusai is best known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
Frida Kahlo - Mexican Artist famous for her folk art paintings and self portraits.
