I graduated from the University of Utah and received my Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University. I have an Early Childhood Endorsement From Brigham Young University and ESL Endorsement from the U of U.

I have taught kindergarten, first grade and now second grade. I have taught at Monte Vista since 1994 and have enjoyed my many years of helping my students learn and grow.

When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 3 married daughters and one son. My husband and I love spending time with our four grandchildren. I also love to read and travel. 

Education has always been an important part of my life. Bingham High School in Copperton was where I developed a love of Mathematics. My senior year, I was the Math Sterling Scholar. (Yes, I was a Minerette, also!) After graduation I attended Utah State University, where I received a Bachelor�s Degree in Mathematics Education. While waiting for my husband to finish his degree, I went back to school to earn an Elementary Education Degree. Utah State was good to me a third time when I later went back to school and earned a Master�s Degree in Elementary Education, with a Gifted and Talented Endorsement. I have taught in every grade K-12, except for fifth grade. I even taught Mathematics at USU. After teaching all of these different grades, I teach second grade by choice. Three married children and three happy grandchildren keep me sane and healthy. My husband and I enjoy loading up our dogs, his German Shepherd and my Yorkshire Terrier, and our travel trailer to go wherever the wind might blow us. It is great to be in this stage of my life.
